Nikita Palatkin
Doctoral Researcher
Research Interests
- 4D-STEM imaging and computational tomography
- Ptychographic reconstruction and phase retrieval
- Physics-informed neural networks for microscopy
- Signal processing and inverse problems
Background
Nikita joined the ECLIPSE Lab as a doctoral researcher in November 2024.
He holds a BSc in Physics (2020, Honours) and an MSc in Physics (2022) from Novosibirsk State University, Russia. Alongside his MSc, he completed a two-year professional retraining programme in Software Engineering and Data Science at the Computer Science Center.
Prior to joining ECLIPSE, Nikita worked as a Research Engineer at Motive Neuromorphic Technologies (2022–present), developing algorithms and software for neuromorphic AI accelerators (AltAI 2 and AltAI 3). He previously held research positions at the International Tomography Center SB RAS (2019–2021) and the Institute of Chemical Kinetics and Combustion SB RAS (2021–2022).
